Printer: "Stay-Linked Ready" Program Expands With Avery Dennison Printer Systems Division Partnership

Stay-Linked Corporation, the industry leader in host-based, thin-client wireless terminal emulation and session management, recently announced that Avery Dennison Printer Systems Division has completed the certification process for Stay-Linked software and will begin shipping its Pathfinder Ultra Platinum wireless devices as "Stay-Linked Ready ".

Avery Dennison's inclusion of Stay-Linked thin client software on its combined hand-held "Scan, Print and Apply" wireless terminals will help retail companies to easily move to The New Standard for managing terminal emulation sessions and devices. Customers can now purchase Stay-Linked licenses directly from Avery Dennison in addition to the extensive network of Stay-Linked Certified Partners. When connected to the Stay-Linked server software (included with the purchase of user licenses), Pathfinder Ultra Platinum users will enjoy the myriad of benefits built into the award-winning Stay-Linked solution.

"Stay-Linked software is a natural compliment to Avery Dennison's Pathfinder Ultra Platinum devices," says David Griffith, president of Stay-Linked. "Stay-Linked provides powerful, unique value by elegantly combining next-generation thin-client wireless terminal emulation with the industry's only true session management. And, with new built-in device management features being released soon, Stay-Linked provides a very similar value proposition to the all-inclusive "Scan, Print and Apply" functionality offered by the one-piece Pathfinder Ultra Platinum. The combination of Stay-Linked software and Avery Dennison's highly specialized devices creates a very compelling best-of-breed solution for retail industry end-users and wireless solution integrators."

Adds John Powell, Avery Dennison's Printer Systems Division Vice President of systems integration and services for the Americas, "Running Stay-Linked software on our devices delivers snappy, reliable, and secure performance for the user while providing total visibility and control of the session and device for the help desk – both of which fall right in line with our focus on delivering solutions to the marketplace that increase overall productivity. We're pleased to be able to offer our customers the valuable benefits that Stay-Linked adds to the Pathfinder Ultra Platinum."

About Stay-Linked
Stay-Linked Corporation began developing The New Standard for managing wireless terminal emulation sessions and devices in 2001. Built from the ground up for the wireless world, Stay-Linked debuted in 2002 as the first thin-client terminal emulation solution—a marked deviation from existing device-side technologies that evolved from the wired terminal model. Utilizing the proprietary Client2Host™ architecture, Stay-Linked was the first host-based thin-client terminal emulator; the first to provide true software-only session persistence; the first to provide a GUI Administrator console for emulation configuration and session control; and is still the only emulator with Advanced Terminal Session Management (ATSM).
