Built on its market-proven iMotion Edgeware platform, the offering meets the Department of Defense's (DoD) stringent requirements that all DoD manufacturers and suppliers subject to Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) regulations be RFID-enabled by 2007, which also requires the submittal of Advanced Ship Notices (ASN) through the electronic Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) capability.

GlobeRanger, in partnership with Psion Teklogix, has already demonstrated its ability to not only meet, but exceed, the DoD's demanding performance requirements through its successful iMotion deployment for the Defense Logistics Agency's expanding passive RFID infrastructure at multiple Defense Distribution Center (DDC) sites. iMotion's comprehensive systems management and device monitoring capabilities enable DDC operations staff to monitor and manage equipment locally or centrally throughout DDC's facilities. As the only software device management tool in operation, iMotion allows DDC staff to easily set and maintain optimum functionality across the entire network of devices, from passive RFID readers and motion sensors to light stacks, printers, and handheld readers.

GlobeRanger's new offering meets the following DoD RFID supplier requirements:
- RFID Tagging: RFID tagging is required for all DoD manufacturers and suppliers who have new contracts subject to the DFARS 252.211-7006 contract clause, or existing contracts that are amended and include the clause.
- Electronic Data Exchange: For all RFID tagged shipments, a Receiving Report or Advanced Ship Notice (ASN) must be submitted through WAWF.
- The Advanced Shipping Notice / Receiving Transition: Lists the contents of a shipment of goods and any information relating to the shipment. As part of the mandate, suppliers are required to submit standard ASN (856) transactions to WAWF.
